The face and chief designer behind Reflings Accessories
I think I was about 18 years old when I handmade my first pair of earrings using seed pods from a Jacaranda tree. From that time onwards, I started experimenting and creating jewellery for others to enjoy.
My name is Refiloe, and I am passionate about making fashion accessories out of unorthodox materials like fabric, leather, clay and beads.
Every piece I create, is a representation of me, an expression of my art inspired by the people I meet, my children, the richness of the sights and sounds of Africa, textures, shapes, patterns (I love patterns), colours, emotions, seasons, just about anything and everything.
I also enjoy creating accessories like earrings, bracelets, necklaces, bags, rings and brooches. Occasionally, I am inspired to create household decorations.
In a ‘jacaranda nutshell‘ I am an art-preneur, and I hope every piece I share inspires the owner to embrace their own inner artist everytime they wear My Reflings.

I finally built up enough courage to officially turn my hobby into a business and established Reflings Accessories as a company in 2021. We make unique handmade fashion accessories for women, men and children and distribute to various markets across Africa and abroad.
Every piece created by Reflings is handmade. Just as a hand has five fingers each uniquely lined with fingerprints, each Reflings creation is unique and a representation of wearable art pieces.

Reflings accessories include expressive earrings, neckpieces, head accessories, rings, handbags, bracelets, brooches and shoe accessories. All pieces are uniquely handmade. Polymerclay products are molded, baked, sanded and buffed before being finished off.
